1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how ChabeLand (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal and business information when you use our digital manufacturing platform (“Platform”).
By registering or using the Platform — whether as a Customer or a Supplier — you consent to the practices described below.
ChabeLand is a new-generation digital factory connecting customers and suppliers for production and prototyping through digital tools.
2. Data Controller
ChabeLand, or its incorporated entity once formed, acts as the data controller responsible for the processing of your personal information.
Until formal incorporation, a designated legal representative shall fulfil this role.
3. Information We Collect
We collect and process information that is necessary to operate the Platform and facilitate transactions between Customers and Suppliers, including:
- Registration Data: name, company name (if applicable), email address, password (securely hashed), and user role (Customer / Supplier).
- Business & Contact Data: shipping details, communication records, and company identifiers.
- Uploaded Content: design files, drawings, specifications, and related project materials. These may contain confidential business information and are treated accordingly.
- Transactional Data: job requests, offers, orders, tracking codes, timestamps, and communication history.
- Usage Data: login information, IP addresses, device information, cookies, and browser type (for security and performance).
4. Purpose of Processing
Your information is processed solely for purposes related to the operation of the Platform, including:
- Enabling Customers to upload requests, designs, and drawings, and track their status via unique tracking codes.
- Allowing Suppliers to view published requests and submit offers.
- Facilitating communication and order fulfilment between Customers and Suppliers.
- Maintaining secure storage for historical tracking, support, and dispute resolution.
- Sending transactional notifications, updates, and service-related communications.
- Improving platform security, troubleshooting, and user experience.
- Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Service.
5. Lawful Basis for Processing
We rely on the following legal bases under applicable data protection laws:
- Performance of a Contract: to operate your account, process uploads, manage offers, and facilitate orders.
- Legitimate Interests: to maintain a secure and efficient platform, prevent fraud, and support business operations.
- Consent: where we rely on your permission, such as optional marketing communications (you may withdraw consent at any time).
6. Data Sharing
We share data only when necessary for Platform functionality:
- Customer → Supplier: design files, requests, and relevant contact details needed for quotation and production.
- Supplier → Customer: offer details, business identity, and contact data needed for the order.
- Internal Access: limited to authorized ChabeLand administrators for technical support, maintenance, and compliance.
- Third-Party Service Providers: trusted partners providing secure cloud storage, analytics, or communication tools — all contractually obligated to protect your data.
- Legal Disclosure: where required by law, regulation, or valid governmental request.
We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
7. Data Storage and Security
All personal and business data — including design files and drawings — are stored securely using industry-standard encryption both in transit and at rest.
We utilize:
- The Platform’s proprietary secure storage systems.
- Reputable cloud-based services that comply with recognized security standards.
Access is restricted to authorized personnel only. We employ organizational and technical measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or misuse.
Design files uploaded by Customers are considered confidential business assets and are protected accordingly.
8. International Transfers
ChabeLand may operate servers or cloud systems in multiple jurisdictions.
When personal or business data is transferred internationally, we implement safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal mechanisms to ensure adequate protection in compliance with international privacy standards (e.g., GDPR).
9. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as:
- Your account remains active, or
- It is necessary to provide services, comply with law, or resolve disputes.
After closure or inactivity, personal and transactional data may be retained for a limited period consistent with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Design files and drawings may be archived longer if needed for order verification or record keeping.
You may request deletion of your personal data; however, certain information may be retained to meet legal or contractual obligations related to completed transactions.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data;
- Request correction or deletion;
- Restrict or object to processing;
- Receive a copy of your data (data portability);
- Withdraw consent (where applicable);
- File a complaint with a data protection authority.

The Platform is not intended for minors under 16 years of age.

Any significant updates will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
